Pearl's President Series was the first drum set to utilize the unique benefits of hermetically pressurized Phenolic shells. The loud, piercing resonance of these thermo-layered, solid shells was renown for their ability to cut through the mix with undeniable clarity. Original President Series kits have since found an avid audience among collectors and players, as their sound is not comparable with the mainstay woods of modern drum making.
